Andharban (or Dark Forest) is a dense forest located near Pimpri in Maharashtra, an hour and a half away from Lonavala. Andharban trek is an ideal monsoon trek, shaded for the most part, and its specialty is that it’s a descending trail all the way. This is an evergreen Sahyadri forest, covered in mist and a dreamy forest landscape in the Tamhini Ghats.
The foliage is abundantly thick with cascading waterfalls as well as still water ponds. You will enjoy stunning views of Kundalika Valley and amazing species of flora and fauna. People also go night trekking in Andharban.

- Start from Pune on Saturday morning from Bhapkar Petrol Pump, Swargate City Pride.
- Reach around 7:30 am at Pimpri Village and have breakfast and tea there. The trek will start at 8:00 am. Enjoy waterfalls around Kundalika Valley for most of the route. Enjoy the dense forest on the rest.
- Lunch at Hotel Shivsagar, Pasalkar in Pimpri
- The return journey will start at 4 pm. We will reach Pune between 7:00 pm to 8 pm.

- Participants suffering from chronic conditions like asthma, bronchitis, blood pressure, migraine, diabetes etc should seek their physician’s advice before coming.
